7 Virtual Assistant Services vs Boldly: Which Is Right for Your Business?

Table of contents
Disclosure: this comparison is published by 7 Virtual Assistant Services. We checked Boldly’s details on its own website, but please confirm them with Boldly before you buy. Boldly is a high-quality premium provider, and for some clients it is clearly the right choice. We explain when.
Short answer: Boldly provides senior executive assistants with 10–15 years of experience at $65 an hour, starting at $2,600/month for 40 hours. 7 Virtual Assistant Services (7VAS) provides dedicated virtual assistants from $699/month for 80 hours, with a trained backup VA, QC reviewer and account manager on every plan. If you need one highly experienced executive partner and budget comes second, look at Boldly. If you need more reliable hours for a small-business budget, 7VAS gives you far more of them.
Both companies give you a dedicated person. Both plan for sick days and holidays. Both let you leave without a long contract.
So the choice really comes down to three things: seniority, location and budget. Here is how 7 Virtual Assistant Services and Boldly compare on each.

Pricing: How Far Apart Are They?
Boldly publishes its prices, which is less common among premium US providers:
- 40 hours: $2,600/month
- 60 hours: $3,900/month
- 80 hours: $5,200/month
- 100 hours: $6,500/month
- Up to 160 hours: ask Boldly for pricing

That is $65 an hour on every published plan. Specialist tasks are billed at $79 an hour. Boldly’s prices are based on ACH Direct Debit, credit cards add a 2.9% processing fee, and New York has its own pricing.

7VAS charges $699/month for 80 hours and $999/month for 160 hours. For the same 80 hours, Boldly costs about $4,500 more each month. Over a year, that is $62,400 at Boldly and $8,388 at 7VAS.

Put another way, a full-time 7VAS assistant at $999 costs less than half of Boldly’s 40-hour plan and gives you four times the hours.

Those numbers don’t compare like for like, and we won’t pretend they do. Boldly’s price pays for far more years of experience and for employees based in the US.
What You Get for Boldly’s Price
Boldly’s premium buys real things:
- Senior assistants. Boldly says each team member has 10–15 years of experience in their specialty.
- Employees, not contractors. Its US assistants are W-2 employees with benefits such as health insurance and a matched 401(k), which also spares you the compliance risk of working with contractors.
- Long relationships. Boldly says clients stay with the same EA for four years on average.
- Meeting first. You review candidates and meet your recommended EA before you subscribe.
- A strong guarantee. Boldly says that if you are not completely satisfied at any time, it will refund your fees for the month.

If you run a leadership team and your assistant will act as a long-term right hand, those are good reasons to pay more.
What 7VAS Is Built For
7VAS is built for a different buyer: founders and small businesses that need plenty of reliable hours, with the management included. Every plan comes with four roles:
- Your dedicated virtual assistant. One person who learns your processes, tools and priorities.
- A trained backup VA. Cover that keeps work moving when your assistant is away. See how our backup virtual assistant cover works.
- A QC reviewer. A second pair of eyes on the work before it reaches you.
- A dedicated account manager. One point of contact for coordination and service concerns.

Our VAs have at least 2–3 years of experience before placement, and we also have highly experienced VAs with 5 to 7+ years. Boldly’s 10–15 years is still higher, but for most administrative, inbox and calendar, customer service or bookkeeping work, that level of experience is all you need, especially with someone checking the output.

You can also read client feedback on G2, where 7VAS is rated 5.0.
Location and Time Zones
Boldly’s assistants are in North America and, per its pricing page, Europe, so they suit US and European working hours.
7VAS assistants are based in India and the Philippines, with bilingual VAs in Brazil and Chile. We work with clients in the US, UK, UAE, Singapore and Australia on their local hours.

Need Someone Onshore?
7VAS also offers US-based virtual assistants on Flex plans: $1,480/month for 40 hours, $2,160/month for 60 hours and $2,800/month for 80 hours, with QC review and a backup VA. That works out at $35 to $37 an hour, compared with Boldly’s $65. Ask about experience level before you compare the two, because Boldly’s 10–15 years is the main thing its higher rate pays for.

How Fast Can You Start?
With 7VAS, matching and onboarding typically take 48–72 hours after the discovery call, subject to role requirements and availability.
Boldly’s process has three steps: a short meeting about your needs, a conversation with the EA it recommends, then onboarding once you both confirm the fit. Boldly doesn’t publish a fixed timeline, but says it cuts hiring time “from months to days”. If meeting your assistant before you commit matters most to you, that process is a real plus.

Should You Choose Boldly or 7VAS?
Choose Boldly if:
- You are a senior executive who wants a highly experienced EA as a long-term partner
- You want an assistant employed as a W-2 employee in the US
- You want to meet your assistant before you subscribe
- Budget matters less than seniority and long-term retention
Choose 7VAS if:
- You want dedicated, managed support at $699 to $999 a month
- You need more hours than a premium US budget allows
- You want a QC reviewer and account manager on every plan
- You want to outsource admin, inbox and calendar work, customer service, bookkeeping, social media, real estate or e-commerce tasks
- You are in the UAE, Singapore or Australia and need help on your hours
